Gut Lovin' Gummies + 2 Easy Peasy Recipes

We've heard it all before - gut health is everything! Whether you're unwell or feeling on top of the world, our tummy's can always use a lil' loving. From bone broth, to fermented foods and apple cider vinegar, we've all heard of a few things that will help keep everything humming along nicely, but these may not always be everyones cup of tea. That's why I love these gummies! You can feed it to even the toughest critic, and I guarantee they will love them! They taste just like your favourite party mix - they're for the lolly-lovers who don't want the sugar + they're your tummy's new best friend.

But what is Gelatin?

It's a colourless, odourless and tasteless powder derived from a super high protein source, collagen. Made from the bones, skin and tissues of animals, it's chocka-block full of amino acids that can help with a bucket load of aliments. Gelatin is super well known for healing and strengthening the gut, but it is also incredible at aiding in skin, hair and nail health, cardiovascular health, quality sleep, maintaining bone health, and the high protein content will help keep you full...and that is just the beginning! Gelatin is such a powerful addition to our diets. But FYI, it has the best benefits when you source it grass fed.


To get started you'll need a few things; - 3 tbsp grass fed gelatin (I get mine from Nutra Organics)

- 1/4 cup lemon juice - 1/2 cup coconut water kefir (you can find the recipe here). Alternatively, filtered water will do the trick.

- 1 tbsp rice malt syrup - Chocolate or ice moulds (love heart moulds optional)

How to;

Add your lemon juice + rice malt syrup to a small pan and place on the stove on a low heat. You don't want the lemon juice to get too hot (it will kill a lot of nutrients) - once it's warm, this will be enough to properly combine the rice malt syrup. Stir until combined and take off the heat to add your coconut water kefir and the gelatin. Stir in the gelatin until it is completely dissolved, then fill your moulds and place in the fridge to set for an hour.


For this one, you'll need;

- 1 Mango

- 2 drops of Doterra wild orange essential oil

- 3 1/2 tbsp grass fed gelatin - 1 tbsp rice malt syrup

- 1 cup filtered water

How to;

Chop your mango and add it to a small pot with the water and rice malt syrup. On a low heat, allow the mango to soften for about 5 minutes, then use a blender to combine the mango, wild orange oil and gelatin. Once combined, pour the mixture into your moulds and pop in the fridge to set for an hour.
